A general gift lets us put money where the need is greatest that month: a teacher's salary in Lazareni, seed for the farm in Mundari Bura, a roof in Cheyyar. Our partners on the ground tell us what is urgent, and a general gift lets us answer quickly.

Romania · Caleb Foundation
Kindergarten teacher for Roma children
A year of salary for the teacher who gives Roma children in Lazareni their first classroom, and their first Romanian, which is a second language for them.
After-school program teacher
Tutoring, homework help and a meal for the older students, so they keep up with their Romanian peers and stay in school.
Utilities, sewing room and community help
Keeps the lights on, runs the sewing room where mothers make aprons and other products to sell, and helps the most marginalized families in the village.
Summer camp for the older kids
A four-day, three-night getaway for the children who have faithfully attended the after-school program all year.
Christmas for the children of Lazareni
Presents and parties for the younger and older kids in December, plus a Christmas bonus for staff and volunteers.
Two weeks of Vacation Bible School
Four-day VBS programs for each age group on the Caleb Foundation property over the summer break.

Uniforms, shoes and socks
We have only been able to buy uniforms for the students once. We would love to do it again.

Copy books, pens, rulers, erasers and the other basics a classroom runs on.
Seeds for the school farm
Peanuts, corn, sorghum and vegetables, planted with the school's two oxen and plow, to supplement the daily MannaPack rice.
Starlink internet for the school
Keeps Timothy School and the team in Juba connected to each other and to the USA.
Build the high school
Three blocks of four classrooms so Timothy School graduates can keep going. About $57,000 per block with prefabricated materials imported from the USA.
Fence the school's land
A fence around the 988 acres gifted by the community protects the school and farm from squatters and from grazing animals.
The high school and the fence are building projects: gifts toward them pool over time until the project can start.
India · Cheyyar
Vacation Bible School
Three days each May for the children of Cheyyar Taluk, and attendance has doubled in three years to more than 600. It takes 25 teachers, 110 volunteers, buses and autos from eleven villages, workbooks, snacks, a chicken biryani on the last day and a gift for every child. Many accept Christ each year.
One child at VBS
Everything one child receives across the three days: the ride in from the village, a wristband and workbook, snacks and juice, the biryani on the last day, and a gift to take home.
Christmas outreach
New clothes and a dinner with cake for about a hundred children, a saree and a chicken dinner for more than a hundred widows, a dress or saree and a meal for the blind and leprosy patients, and a gift for each branch pastor's family.
A child's Christmas
New clothes for one child at the Christmas celebration, which also brings cake and a chicken dinner. Around a hundred children are dressed for Christmas each year.
A month of an evangelist's support
Four evangelists carry the gospel across 225 villages. $150 a month supports one of them; together they have planted 16 branch churches.
Bibles for new believers
One hundred Bibles, five dollars each, for those who come to faith at VBS and in the villages.
A child's schooling
School fees and supplies for one orphaned child for a year.
Widows, the blind and leprosy patients
Food, medicine and practical help through the year for the people the villages overlook, and a place at the Christmas celebration, where about $9 gives a widow a new saree and a chicken dinner.
A church building or roof
Village congregations meet under thatch until they have a building. With your help, churches have been built or roofed for Pastors Ruby, Vijay Yohan and Lawrence, at Perumballam, and most recently at Keezhmattai.
A water well for a church and its village
Workers dug 320 feet through rock at Perumballam church before finding water. The borewell now serves the church and the whole village.

Yes. Kids in Crisis International, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You will receive a receipt from the giving platform, and a year-end statement on request.
How much of my gift reaches the field?
In 2024, 95.5% of expenses went directly to programs in Romania, South Sudan and India. Office and fundraising costs together were under 5%. See the full figures.
